Privacy Policy

Effective November 7, 2026 · Owned and operated by Christ Generation Church

1. Who We Are

Christ Generation Church, Cebu South, Philippines, is the personal information controller for the ChristGen platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules and regulations.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: your full name, email address, profile photo, password (stored securely by our authentication provider), role, leadership level, and any custom display name you set.

Ministry information: your cell group or Simbalay membership, meeting days and times, attendance records, meeting photos, and the network relationships entered by you or by the leaders over you.

Subscription information: the receipt image you submit for your monthly subscription, the amount paid, the date of payment, approval status, subscription expiry date, and any notes added by a ChristGen Admin.

Communications: messages you send in leader chat, support conversations, and any details you submit through the contact form on our website (name, address, phone number, and message).

Technical information: browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages visited, and cookie identifiers, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account, verify your identity and leadership role, and give you access to your network.

To record and display cell group and Simbalay activity, attendance, and discipleship progress to the leaders who oversee your network.

To review and approve your monthly subscription, confirm your 30 days of access, and remind you when it is due for renewal.

To respond to enquiries, provide support, and send ministry announcements or updates.

To keep the Platform secure, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

We process your personal information when you have given consent (for optional cookies and advertising, and for member records you enter as a leader), to perform our agreement with you (providing the Platform and your subscription), for our legitimate interests (running the ministry, security, and service improvement), and to comply with legal requirements.

5. Monthly Subscription and Payment Information

Leadership access to the Platform requires a monthly subscription of Fifty Philippine Pesos (PHP 50.00), paid through GCash to Christ Generation Church. To verify payment, you upload a screenshot of your GCash receipt, which is reviewed manually by a ChristGen Admin.

Receipt images, the amount paid, the date of payment, and the approval history are stored as subscription and financial records. Receipts are visible only to you and to ChristGen Admin.

We never ask for and do not store your GCash password, MPIN, one-time password (OTP), or full card details. Please mask or avoid showing such details when submitting a receipt.

6. Cookies, Advertising, and Your Choices

We use cookies and browser storage that are necessary for the Platform to work — keeping you signed in and remembering your cookie choice — and optional cookies used for advertising.

The website uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. When you accept optional cookies, Google and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Advertising scripts load only after you accept, and you may change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

If you decline, ad personalization and advertising storage stay switched off for the ads served on this website.

You can also control personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) and opt out of participating companies through aboutads.info.

7. How We Share Information

With church leaders: leaders with legitimate oversight of your network (your primary leader, and 144, 1,728, or 20,736 leaders above you) can view ministry records relevant to their network. Church administrators can access records to manage the Platform.

With service providers: we use trusted providers for hosting and application services, authentication, email delivery, and advertising (Google AdSense). These providers process information only as needed to deliver their service.

For legal reasons: when required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a competent authority, or to protect the rights and safety of the church and its members.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

8. How Long We Keep Information

Account and ministry records are kept while your account is active and for as long as needed for the church's ministry records. Subscription receipts and payment records are kept for up to five (5) years for accounting and audit purposes.

When information is no longer needed, or when you request deletion and no legal retention applies, it is deleted or anonymized. Some records entered by your leaders about your attendance may remain as part of the church's ministry history unless you request their removal.

9. How We Protect Information

Access to records is controlled by role and network: members see only what concerns them, leaders see their own network, and administrators manage the whole church. Subscriptions are reviewed manually by ChristGen Admin.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. Please keep your password private and report any suspected breach to church leadership immediately.

10. Your Rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed about how your information is processed, to object to processing, to access your personal information, to request correction of inaccurate entries, to request erasure or blocking, to claim damages for violations, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).

To exercise any of these rights, contact church leadership using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period and may ask you to verify your identity first.

11. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for users thirteen (13) years of age and older. Users below eighteen (18) must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children under thirteen; if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

12. International Processing

Some of our service providers, including hosting and advertising providers, may process information on servers outside the Philippines. Where this happens, we rely on providers that maintain appropriate safeguards for personal information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform or the law changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be announced inside the Platform or by email.
